Job Description

  • Responsible to Administrator.
  • Maintain the store neat and tidy.
  • To ensure proper safety measures are taken for the safety of the store building, materials in the store and the men working in the store.
  • To ensure that the store is always maintained up to date in all respects in a presentable condition.
  • To ensure proper stocking of materials by using appropriate method of care and preservation to avoid any damage and loss.
  • To ensure accurate accounting of the materials receiver and issued. To take appropriate action for care and preservation of the materials.
  • To receive the materials ordered by the purchase department (in case of Decentralised system) and supplied by the vendors in a proper maintains as per the laid down procedure.
  • To check the materials thoroughly for quality, quantity, specification condition, condition etc.
  • To categories the materials categorywise and stock in the appropriate locations. To ensure the correctness in the quality, quantity, specifications, condition of the materials received from vendors.
  • To stock the materials received from vendors properly as to ensure easy access identification, verification, handling, maintenance etc.
  • Make all the data entries in to the computer.
  • Carry out periodical physical verification and asses the stock position. During receipt of goods from the supplier they help store manager to check the quantity and quality and stock the materials in appropriate location.
  • To pass the bills of the materials received from vendor and send it to Accounts department for payment.
  • To issue materials to the departments as per the indents. To issue materials to departments as per the schedule.
  • He will be the overall in charge of both general Consumable and Project stores.
  • He will plan the store activities like estimating, budgeting, Min Max Material etc..
  • He will impart training to the subordinates and explain their duties and responsibilities.
  • He will supervise the functioning of both general Consumable and Project stores and give guidance as to how to maintain the store.
  • He will pass the bills and send them to accounts for payment to the suppliers.
  • He will keep in touch with the senior management officials and give proper reports/feedbacks and also get instructions for compliance on day to day works.
  • He will verify all the documents and sign them.
  • Verify the stock periodically and ensure submission of various reports to various authorities at appropriate time.
  • He will report any abnormal occurrences in his department to the management. In addition to the above, he will carry out any other duties given by the management.
  • Provide training to improve the knowledge base of the staff and utilize cross-training methods to maintain productivity when employees are absent Manage stock levels and make key decisions about stock control Recruiting, performance management, and workplace scheduling Product management receiving handling damaged products, and returns Team Development, facilitating staff learning training, and development Problem solving, handling unusual circumstances

  • Devising, improving, and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
  • Setting the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
  • Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance.
  • Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
  • Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards.
  • Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products.
  • Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis.
  • Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectors.

Assistant Quality Control Manager Requirements:

  • Ph.D. or M.Sc. with 5-7yrs experience in Microbiology/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Environmental Chemistry
  • Previous experience in quality control in food/pharma/biofertilizer industry is preferred.
  • Experience in Microbiological testing [TVC, lab bio-efficacy assay, antibiotic sensitivity assay, etc.] and chemical testing [Spectrophotometric and titrimetric assays, HPLC, Kjeldahl, AAS] is a must.
  • Strong attention to detail, observation, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of quality control procedures and legal standards.
  • Strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis, and statistical methods.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Good technical and IT skills.
