Our South Queensland Buildings & Marine group has an opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to join the team following several significant project wins.
In this role you will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team across a variety of infrastructure, buildings, transport and defence projects and will see you involved in:
  • Undertaking and managing the design and documentation under the guidance of a Senior Electrical Engineer including: electrical power reticulation and distribution systems, lighting design, standby power generation, communications cabling, lightning protection, fire detection and audio visual for various new or revamp related projects
  • Technical report writing, cost reporting and project team liaison
  • Preparation of authority submissions and construction phase services.
What you will bring to the team
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Required)
  • 2+ years’ experience in the design of electrical installations and the ability to work as part of multi-disciplinary teams undertaking commercial, industrial, education, health, defence, transport, infrastructure, power and controls projects
  • An advanced understanding of AS/NZS 3000, AS 1670 and AS/CA S009
  • Understanding of local council/authority, utility and QFES requirements
  • Flexibility to travel for short term project assignments
  • Proficiency with industry standard software (MS Office, AutoCAD/Revit, PowerCAD, AGI32/Dialux, Bluebeam/Adobe Acrobat).
This role would suit an Electrical Engineer who has recently completed a Graduate Program and is looking to challenge themselves in a client service-led organisation, where you will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects across the full project lifecycle - from planning to designing, sustaining, enhancing and retiring assets.
